Vision For Success – Really?

Many times people ask me, “Charles, how do I get success?”

There are many elements to success. One must develop a plan and then they must work that plan or put in the action and be consistent. They have to be positive, to have the stick-to-itness to keep going no mater what and they must have faith that they will see their success no matter what happens.

For me though, the most important key to success is to develop a vision for what success looks like for the seeker. It all begins with vision and vision will carry you through times of low motivation and in the end, it is that vision that will manifest before your very eyes.

Let’s think about this for a moment. I liken success in any endeavor to building something. After all, we are building success in our lives, our businesses, and our relationships, or whatever.

So let’s think about a building, a house. In order for that house to be successfully built, it begins with vision. In this case, someone has to imagine what the house is going to look like. How big is the house? How many bedrooms? How many bathrooms? What will the yard look like it is being built on? And so on….

The house then comes from the imagination and makes its journey onto paper, or really at this point, a computer screen and then onto paper. Every element of the house is thought of and put into a complete and clear drawing or picture of what the finished, successful final structure is going to look like.

This vision of the house doesn’t stop there. Next a plan is drawn, noting every detail that needs to go into realizing this vision. That blueprint is then given to the builder who hires the tradespeople to bring this vision into fruition. Every step along the way, the vision and plans for its execution are kept front and center in everyone’s mind. Progress is steadily made until one day, the house is built, the yard is done and some happy family moves in and enjoys their new home.

Your success works the same way. The first step is to get clear, really clear, crystal clear on what success looks like for you. The clearer you are, the faster and easier you will manifest what you are wanting.

Start by thinking about what a day in your life would look like if money was no object, time wasn’t a consideration and if anything, anything at all, was possible.

Who would you be? Where would you be living? What would you be doing? Who would be in that picture with you? How would you be interacting together?

As you are taking time to imagine this new successful life, make sure you mix in emotions. So, say you are imagining where you are living, what are the colors where you are? Are there any smells associated with this place? Is it warm and relaxing or cool, crisp and invigorating?

When you are with the people in your picture, what are some of the things you are doing and how are you feeling? Do you feel love? Gratitude? Joy? Are you feeling inspired by them?

Somewhere along the way, it is essential to get your vision down on paper.

Yes, paper.

There is magic in writing this down.

I resisted writing down my vision, my passions and desires for years, decades, but the first time I did write them down, shared them and made the real, within 2 weeks I was already successful in one of my long time dreams….. 2 WEEKS…… after waiting for decades, hoping that maybe some day I would be there.

So for anyone who wonders how they can get started having success in their lives, in any aspect of that life, begin by developing what the vision is of that success. If this is you, take your time, dream big and bold and believe that you deserve to have your dreams come true, because you do, just by being you.

I love feedback and would love to hear from you about your vision. Please take a moment and share your vision as it is right now, with the world in the comment section below. Who knows, the magic might happen real soon for you too.

Much love.
